Pete Carroll: Jimmy Graham has been a ‘full-go’ in practice

Jimmy Graham

Seattle Seahawks tight end Jimmy Graham did not exactly impress as a pass catcher in his first season with the team last year. Of course, a season-ending knee injury 11 games in didn’t help matters much.

Nonetheless, it would appear that Graham has been practicing without limitation since coming off of the PUP list on August 10.

“Jimmy has been practicing full-go, and we’re thrilled about it,” head coach Pete Carroll said, per the team’s official website. “He is too, he has had a lot of fun being back out with the fellas and all. He had a full week of practice, he’ll have another full week of practice, and we’ll just keep taking it day-to-day.”

According to the report, Carroll did not indicate whether Graham would play in the season opener. As the team monitors Graham in practice in the coming days, Carroll should have a better projection as to Graham’s playing status in Week 1.

In his debut with the Seahawks, Graham was not much of a factor when it came to the passing game. He tallied 48 catches for 605 yards and only two touchdowns in 11 games.

If Graham is indeed limited heading into the regular season, it will impact his ability to improve off those numbers. Though, this recent report seems pretty encouraging on that front.
