Pelicans, Saints owner Tom Benson stable, still in Intensive Care Unit with flu

Tom Benson, the owner of the NFL’s New Orleans Saints and the NBA’s New Orleans Pelicans, was recently hospitalized with the flu.

On Sunday, the Pelicans gave an update on his status, noting he is in stable condition though still in the Intensive Care Unit at Ochsner Medical Center.

That’s certainly not bad news. The fact that at his age (90), he remains stable is a good thing. Benson was originally hospitalized on Thursday.

Certainly, the NFL and NBA worlds will be continuing to monitor this situation closely.
