Odell Beckham and Jeffery Simmons got into post-game fight after Ravens win over Titans

The Baltimore Ravens defeated the Tennessee Titans 24-16 in London last Sunday in a hard-fought game, but the battle didn’t end once the final whistle blew. According to Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey, Odell Beckham and Jeffery Simmons got into a small fight.

In his latest episode of the Punch Line Podcast, Humphrey relayed his story about how what he thought was a jersey swap quickly escalated into something physical between the two Pro Bowl talents.

The issue likely stemmed from an incident that boiled over earlier in the game when the Titans defensive lineman came in late, hitting Ravens receiver Zay Flowers in his leg when the play was nearly ruled dead.

Beckham immediately took issue with the play and confronted Simmons, who then gave OBJ a shove that knocked him to the ground, drawing a 15-yard unsportsmanlike penalty.

Later when given a chance to comment on the matter, Beckham provided further explanation on why he got so frustrated after the play.

“He’s chasing down a play, he’s tired, I watched him look at the play and then look at Zay’s legs and try and dive on them. I just didn’t like that. I’m going to protect him. This is my guy. This is my little bro. I love (Flowers) to death and I’m always going to have his back period. If that leads me to trouble, it is what it is. I just didn’t like that. That’s all it was. Other than that, it was football. We play football.”

Meanwhile, it was obvious Simmons was also upset with how the Titans’ loss played out. He made that clear by expressing disappointment in his teammates when speaking from the locker room.

“We need to figure out the guys who are going to fight. We need to figure out the guys who want to be out there, not the guys that don’t want to be out there. That’s what it needs to be. We need to reevaluate our team and figure that out. That’s the message: Let’s figure out who wants to play football for the Titans.”
