Noah Gragson returns to NASCAR Cup with Stewart-Haas Racing

Noah Gragson has officially signed a multi-year agreement to race in the NASCAR Cup Series in the Stewart-Haas Racing No. 10 car starting in 2024.

Gragson takes over the No. 10 from Aric Almirola, who will instead race a part-time Xfinity Series schedule with Joe Gibbs Racing. Gragson missed the final four months of the Cup Series season after parting ways with Legacy Motor Club in the aftermath of his suspension for liking a social media post that made light of the murder of George Floyd.

Since then, Gragson told Sportsnaut earlier in the month that he has been seeing a sports psychologist and really appreciated the lessons learned while undergoing NASCAR-mandated sensitivity training.

Now, Gragson gets to drive for one of the most decorated teams at Stewart-Haas, one that has won two championships with Tony Stewart and Kevin Harvick. Gragson will be paired with 2020 Daytona 500 winning crew chief Drew Blickensderfer.

“Noah deserves to be in the NASCAR Cup Series and we’re very happy to have him as the driver of our No. 10 Ford Mustang,” said Stewart in a press release. “Noah has performed at every level where he’s competed and has regularly been in championship contention. That’s the kind of driver we need at Stewart-Haas and that’s why Noah is a part of our team.”

Gragson will race alongside Chase Briscoe, Ryan Preece, and Josh Berry.

“I’m grateful for this opportunity with Stewart-Haas Racing and while most people in the industry are happy that the offseason is here, I want to get started on 2024 and go racing as soon as I can,” Gragson said. “Stewart-Haas is filled with racers and I saw that and felt it as soon as I walked onto the shop floor. There are high expectations here and a strong desire to compete and win races. I have high expectations for myself and I want to deliver for Tony and Gene and everyone at Stewart-Haas.”
