Tragic news broke on Wednesday afternoon, as former University of Kentucky and NFL quarterback Jared Lorenzen passed away at the age of 38 following a week-long battle with multiple health issues.
The Lorenzen family released a statement following the news of his death.
Lorenzen had previously been showing signs of recovery as of Wednesday morning. He was on dialysis and dealing with heart and renal issues, but his family shared he was “developing some traction.”
Needless to say, the news of his passing hit hard throughout the sports world.
