Maybe it’s time for Joel Embiid to stop engaging with LaVar Ball on social media. The Philadelphia 76ers star center was fined $10,000 by the NBA for “inappropriate language on social media” following an exchange with the Big Baller Brand CEO.

For those who are unaware of the reason why Embiid is being fined, we’ll guide you to this link.

He used a word that’s commonly heard on NBA courts during the heat of action but which is absolutely a no-no on social media, apparently.

Embiid is the best social media follow the NBA has to offer these days. He constantly issues brilliant takes and never hesitates to throw shade (like this). But in this case, it was just a bit too shady for the NBA’s taste buds.
