Fans of the 1990s sitcom, “Seinfeld,” should really think about being in Altoona, Pennsylvania at the end of July.

On July 27, the Altoona Curve, the Double-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, will have a “Newman & Kramer” bobblehead giveaway.

Ok, so it’s not quite the Newman and Kramer that we were expecting. But we admire the creativity.

That said, we do have some things to nitpick here.

First of all, how it is that affiliates of the New York Mets and/or Philadelphia Phillies never thought of this is baffling. Step up your games.

Secondly, especially the way it was advertised, this game really should have been played on June 14 — the 31st anniversary of the famed incident between Newman, Kramer, Keith Hernandez, and the infamous second spitter, Roger McDowell. Hopefully we can get some cameos.

If not, we’ll just have to settle for a game on July 27 between affiliates of the Pirates and San Francisco Giants — not that there’s anything wrong with that.
