Michael Bennett deals with media ‘Kind of like a sore toe’

Michael Bennett

Seattle Seahawks defensive lineman Michael Bennett has made a name for himself as a player who is bursting with quotable quotes. Speaking with media Thursday evening, he pulled another gem out of his basket.

When asked if he likes the media, Bennett gave a phenomenal answer:

It’s hard to know if he’s being serious or if he’s simply showing off his sense of humor. Perhaps both aspects are in play here.

Bennett has always been free with his words, speaking frankly on a number of issues, including how quarterbacks are paid too much, about how Todd Gurley is “no Marshawn Lynch” and about how teammate Kam Chancellor deserved a pay raise this past fall when he was holding out.

“Paul Allen…17th richest man in the world, pay him!”

For someone who “just deals with” the media “like a sore toe,” Bennett always provides entertainment for the media and fans alike.

He and his Seahawks teammates are preparing for a Sunday afternoon battle against the Carolina Panthers in the NFC divisional round, which starts at 1:05 p.m. ET on FOX.
