Melvin Ingram not in the least bit concerned about facing Jay Cutler

Jay Cutler impresses in first practice with the Dolphins. but can he do the same in NFL preseason Week 2?

There’s something the younger generation calls throwing shade. And then there’s something that goes far beyond that. Apparently, Los Angeles Chargers pass rusher Melvin Ingram is an expert in this field.

In talking about what problems he foresees in facing Jay Cutler of the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, Ingram didn’t necessarily hold back.

That’s some tough talk from a member of a defense that allowed Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian to score three touchdowns in Monday night’s narrow Week 1 one.

But we digress.

After seeing his Dolphins have their game postponed last weekend due to Hurricane Irma, Cutler will be making his debut for the fish on Sunday. He does so with playoff expectations and having to replace the injured Ryan Tannehill.

For Cutler, this biggest problem this Chargers defense presents is both Ingram and fellow pass rusher Joey Bosa. The two combined for 18.5 sacks last season for the then San Diego Chargers. They then combined to put up three sacks against Denver in Week 1.

Ingram sees himself as a big fish hunter. It’s now time for Cutler and Co. to respond by sending the bolts to an 0-2 start to the season.
