Brazil’s Mayra Bueno Silva pulled off a stunning upset Saturday night, submitting former UFC champion Holly Holm in the second round of their bantamweight main event at UFC Fight Night at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas.

The 31-year-old Silva, ranked No. 10 in the division, turned a clinch by Holm into a guillotine chokehold, forcing the former champion to tap out at the 38-second mark.

The win improved Silva to 11-2-1, while the 41-year-old and third-ranked Holm dropped to 15-7.

“Now I want a belt because I deserve it,” Silva said. “Nobody finishes like me. … UFC needs a new face, I am the new face. I finish my fights. I give a show for everybody.”

In the co-main event, Australian Jack Della Maddalena defeated the United States’ Bassil Hafez by split decision (all three cards were 29-28, with two going to Della Maddalena). The No. 14-ranked welterweight Della Maddalena improved to 15-2. Hafez is 8-4-1.
