Manuel “Manuel” Bachoore claimed the $300,000 top prize at the 2023 FIFAe World Cup on Wednesday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The 18-year-old Dutchman defeated Australia’s Mark “Mark11” Zakhary 5-4 in penalty kicks after a 3-3 deadlock.

Manuel advanced to the grand final of the $1 million, 24-team competition with a 3-2 win against Italy’s Francesco “Obrun2002” Tagliaferro. Marks defeated Brazil’s Paulo “PHzin” Chaves 5-3 in Wednesday’s other semifinal.

The championship completed a brilliant run through the single-elimination playoffs for Manuel, who had been the fourth and final qualifier from Group D.

Mark11 earned $150,000 for his runner-up finish, while Obrun2002 and PHzin each took home $75,000.
