Los Angeles Lakers president Magic Johnson has been awarded the key to the city of Las Vegas. Just imagine how absolutely amazing that would be. For some, maybe a bit too amazing.

But we digress. Not only is Johnson going to be in Vegas next week, the legendary basketball player will be hosting a benefit concert with the likes of Snoop Dogg and Will Smith set to appear in some capacity.

TMZ Sports notes that the concert will benefit those impacted by last October’s mass shooting at Mandalay Bay that left 58 people dead.

Festivities will get going at Mandalay on Oct. 9 with  Snoop Dogg set to perform. It’s also being reported that Johnson has some surprises for those who are going to be on hand. MGM is giving away 4,000 tickets tickets for the event, most of them going to those impacted by the mass shooting.

This will take place one day before Magic’s Lakers play the Golden State Warriors in a preseason game at the nearby T-Mobile Arena.
