Lamar Jackson jersey
Kelvin Kuo-USA TODAY Sports

Baltimore Ravens quarterback and NFL MVP favorite Lamar Jackson is not only a sensation around the football world. He apparently now has a big fan in that of Pope Francis, the leader of the Catholic Church.

Leaders of the Catholic Church in Baltimore were just in Rome to greet the Pope. A pretty big football fan himself, Francis was presented with a Lamar Jackson No. 8 jersey.

The jersey, which has the Pope’s name on the back, was signed by both Jackson and Ravens head coach John Harbaugh.

Even as the most popular player in the NFL right now, this has to be jarring for Jackson. We’re talking about Pope Francis likely sporting the dude’s jersey at times.

What we want to know is what event will require Pope Francis to actually don the jersey. That would be one amazing photo-op.
