LOOK: Milwaukee River dyed green to celebrate Bucks

Boasting an NBA-best 60-22 regular-season record, Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks are set to take on the Detroit Pistons in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals Sunday.

Not necessarily accustomed to their team being considered NBA Finals favorites, the local Milwaukee area is pulling out all the stops.

That includes leaders dyeing Milwaukee River green ahead of the Bucks’ playoff appearance this weekend.

Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett was among those in attendance at McKinley Bridge to watch as a boat dropped vegetable-based dye into the water.

We’re going to go ahead and give them a ton of credit. This looks great. We’re also a bit surprised that Milwaukee thought of this before Boston.
