The New York Mets have had a much more successful award season than what we saw from the team during the 2019 campaign.

That included slugger Pete Alonso earning the NL Rookie of the Year award earlier in the month. Pitcher Jacob deGrom joined him on the list with his second consecutive Cy Young on Wednesday.

Like a good teammate, Alonso took to social media to congratulate deGrom on the honors. He was met by a Twitter troll and responded in epic fashion.

That’s the Twitter content we’re here for. Alonso could have simply ignored the dude. Rather, he came back with a shot at the troll while correcting his grammar.

In addition to hitting 53 homers and driving in 120 runs, Alonso posted a .941 OPS during a record-breaking rookie campaign. Whatever he’s doing, the dude should not stop.
