New England Patriots safety Kyle Dugger and Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. were ejected from Saturday night’s game following a skirmish in the third quarter.
Following a second-and-10 run, Dugger and Pittman Jr. got into it near the pile after Jonathan Taylor was tackled following a 7-yard gain. Pittman shoved Dugger backward and the second-year safety responded by hitting the Colts’ receiver in the facemask.
When Pittman dove towards the Patriots’ safety, Dugger ripped his helmet off and the two got into a scuffle on the ground.
Both players were flagged for offsetting personal fouls and immediately ejected from the game. As aerial footage from the stadium shows, it seemed to be a rather minor skirmish between two NFL players.
While Indianapolis will certainly miss its top wide receiver, it is in great position to win with a 20-point lead over the Patriots late in the third quarter.
