New York Knicks guard-forward RJ Barrett was cleared from the NBA’s health and safety protocols on Thursday.

Teammate Obi Toppin rejoined the team Wednesday, but five Knicks players still remain on the COVID-19 list ahead of Thursday night’s game against the visiting Washington Wizards: Immanuel Quickley, Kevin Knox, Quentin Grimes, Miles McBride and Nerlens Noel.

Barrett, 21, last played on Dec. 10 and has missed New York’s last five games.

He is averaging 15.1 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 25 starts this season. He has career averages of 16.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 153 games (152 starts) since the Knicks drafted him No. 3 overall in 2019.

New York also announced the signing Thursday of Danuel House Jr. to a 10-day contract. He appeared in 16 games (one start) with the Houston Rockets this season, averaging 4.8 points and 2.7 rebounds.
