Kings send Marvin Bagley III to Pistons in 4-team trade

The Detroit Pistons acquired forward Marvin Bagley III from Sacramento on Thursday as part of a four-team trade that saw Milwaukee Bucks guard Donte DiVincenzo go to the Kings.

The full breakdown:

–Milwaukee acquires center Serge Ibaka from the Los Angeles Clippers, a 2023 second-round pick from the Pistons, a 2024 second-round pick from the Kings, plus cash considerations.
–Sacramento acquires DiVincenzo from Milwaukee, forward Trey Lyles and guard/forward Josh Jackson from Detroit, and the draft rights to David Michineau from the Clippers.
–Los Angeles acquires guard Rodney Hood and forward Semi Ojeleye from Milwaukee, plus the draft rights to Vanja Marinkovic from Sacramento.
–Detroit acquires Bagley from Sacramento.

Bagley, 22, is averaging career lows of 9.3 points and 7.2 rebounds through 30 games this season. The second overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft has produced 13.5 points per game for his career, all with the Kings.

Ibaka, 32, joins his fifth team after one-plus seasons in Los Angeles. With Brook Lopez out with a back injury, Ibaka brings his 6.6 points and 4.3 rebounds per game to Milwaukee. He has played in 35 games (10 starts) this season.

The Clippers add more wing depth with Hood and Ojeleye. The Clippers acquired Norman Powell and Robert Covington last week.

Hood, 29, heads to his sixth team. He was contributing 3.3 points and 1.7 rebounds for the Bucks through 39 games off the bench this season.

Ojeleye, 27, put up 2.9 points and 2.9 rebounds per contest in 20 games as a reserve for Milwaukee in the 2021-22 campaign.

DiVincenzo, 25, is averaging 7.2 points and 3.5 rebounds per game in 17 contests this season. He was taken No. 17 overall by the Bucks in the 2018 NBA Draft.

Lyles, 26, is in the midst of a career-best scoring year with an average of 10.4 points per game.

Jackson, who turned 25 on Thursday, joins his fourth team in five seasons after being selected by Phoenix with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. He is averaging 7.1 points and 3.2 rebounds this season.

The Kings previously acquired forward/center Domantas Sabonis, forward Justin Holiday and guard Jeremy Lamb for guards Tyrese Haliburton and Buddy Hield as well as center Tristan Thompson on Tuesday.
