Joel Embiid will be starting in the 2018 NBA All-Star Game for “Team Stephen.” He’ll share a starting lineup with distance shooters like Stephen Curry and James Harden. But that may not keep the Philadelphia 76ers center from attempting plenty of deep shots on his own.
Embiid was asked how he could win the game’s MVP. Relaying a conversation he had with coach Mike D’Antoni, Embiid let it be known that three pointers — and a lot of them — are in the game plan.
Joel Embiid on his strategy to win MVP tonight: "[D'Antoni] asked me to shoot at least 15 three's. That's what they do in Houston, so I'm definitely going to be pulling up. "

We’d certainly like to see this.
For reference, Embiid has attempted 3.3 shots from three-point range a game during the regular season. If there’s ever a time to shoot your shot (or your 15 shots), the All-Star Game is it.
