Former LSU star and reigning Heisman Trophy winner Joe Burrow is nothing if not honest about what it is he does and does not possess when it comes to taking his game to the next level.

Showing himself to be extremely self-aware, Burrow admitted his “physical traits are limited” compared to other quarterbacks, per B/R Gridiron.

In the same quote, he highlighted exactly what he does to overcome his “limited” traits.

“I prepare better than anyone else,” and noting, “I have to be smarter. I have to prepare better, and I have to know what’s happening before it happens so I can play fast.”

While that may be true, Burrow has shown the ability to pull off some crazy stuff on the gridiron. He’s not exactly a statue in the pocket, either.

These comments are exactly why Burrow is being compared to the great Tom Brady by many, even if he vehemently opposes such a comparison.

Coming off the most legendary college football season in recent memory, Burrow is being mocked to the Cincinnati Bengals by pretty much everyone out there. He’ll be the No. 1 pick of the 2020 NFL Draft, to be sure, and it’s going to be fascinating to see how his career unfolds at the next level.
