Future Hall of Famer Joe Thomas officially retired from the Cleveland Browns and the NFL on Wednesday. A day later, Cleveland coach Hue Jackson made it known that if Thomas wants to be a part of the team, he’ll be welcome.
Hue Jackson says Joe Thomas will still have his locker in the Browns locker room, seat on the plane for road trips if he wants it.

We certainly understand and respect this tremendous gesture.
Thomas is one of the greatest Browns in history. The response to his retirement was also overwhelmingly supportive.
Thomas will certainly have options in retirement. But it’s certainly nice for him to know that if he wants to remain with Cleveland in some capacity, the door will be wide open for that.
