Memphis Grizzlies guard Desmond Bane will miss at least six weeks with a Grade 3 left ankle sprain.

Bane sustained the injury in the third quarter of Friday’s 128-119 loss to the Clippers when he stepped on Los Angeles forward Kawhi Leonard’s foot.

In 37 games (all starts) this season, the 25-year-old Bane has averaged 24.4 points, 4.6 rebounds and 5.3 assists. He is shooting 47.4 percent from the field and 38.4 percent from 3-point range.

Memphis will also be without forward Jake LaRavia for at least three weeks. He is dealing with a Grade 2 high left ankle sprain that he suffered in the first quarter of Saturday’s 106-94 setback against the New York Knicks.

LaRavia, 22, has averages of 3.6 points and 1.5 boards across 11 games (zero starts) this season.

The Grizzlies have been severely hampered by injuries, as they had already lost guards Ja Morant (shoulder) for the season and Marcus Smart (finger) for about six weeks.

Memphis is back in action on Monday, when it plays host to the Golden State Warriors.
