When Valentino Blake left the New York Giants for personal reasons last month, it threw a lot of people off guard. Previously known as Antwon, the defensive back was slated to play a role in the slot for the Giants this season.
It now looks like the 27-year-old former Pittsburgh Steelers starter is retiring from the NFL.
CB Valentino Blake, who left the Giants during camp for personal reasons and was released on Saturday, is retiring, per source.

With Janoris Jenkins, Eli Apple, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and the recently acquired Ross Cockrell in the mix, New York definitely has enough depth to overcome this surprising loss.
Even then, we have to be a bit worried as to why Blake decided to step away from the game. The former UTEP star put up his best season with Pittsburgh back in 2015, starting all 16 games and recording 74 tackles to go with two interceptions and a touchdown.
