FlyQuest, Cloud9 earn second wins at LCS 2024 Spring Split

FlyQuest and Cloud9 improved to 2-0 with wins in group-stage action of the League Championship Series 2024 Spring Split on Sunday.

FlyQuest beat Immortals in 31 minutes on red and Cloud9, who captured first place in 2023, beat 100 Thieves in 30 minutes on red.

Eight teams are participating in this year’s spring split, with all matches in the double round-robin group stage best-of-one.

The top six teams will advance to the playoffs, which begin March 14. The top four teams will be in the upper bracket, while the fifth- and sixth-place teams will head to the lower bracket. All playoff matches are best-of-five, including the March 31 grand final.

In addition to earning $100,000, the winner of the grand final will also qualify for the 2024 Mid-Season Invitational in Chengdu, China. The runner-up will also earn a berth in that event, which runs from May 1-19.

In other action Sunday, Team Liquid got past Shopify Rebellion in 34 minutes on blue and NRG handed Dignitas their first loss by prevailing in 31 minutes on blue.

Group-stage action resumes Saturday with four more matches:

–NRG vs. 100Thieves
–Team Liquid vs. FlyQuest
–Immortals vs. Shopify Rebellion
