Father of Zay Jones thanks fans for prayers: ‘He’s gonna be fine’

The family of Zay Jones is standing behind the young man following a very disturbing incident that ended with the Buffalo Bills receiver being arrested and placed in the medical ward of the Los Angeles County Jail.

There is video, obtained by TMZ, that shows Jones naked and bloody fighting with his brother, Cayleb Jones, while saying, “I’m going to fight for Jesus.”

On Wednesday, Cayleb (who reportedly kept him from leaping out of a glass window from 30 stories up) tweeted a supportive message. Then later on during the day, Jones’ father, Robert Jones, thanked fans for their prayers while providing a positive update.

The Bills have issued a statement acknowledging the incident, and that they are looking into it further. Jones was a second-round pick out of East Carolina last year. He tallied 27 receptions for 316 yards and two touchdowns as a rookie.
