Atlanta Falcons’ running back, Antone Smith, who has just six career carries to his name, got his clock cleaned by Jadeveon Clowney, the Houston Texans’ stud rookie defensive end.
After taking a walloping hit by Clowney, Smith told reporters at CBS Houston this regarding Clowney (via Fox Sports).
Just a guy. I don’t see anything special. He’s just a guy. He’s a guy who plays defensive end. He plays pretty good. Made a good play.
That’s just jealously talking, because Smith is pretty much a nobody. Anyone who has only 145 rushing yards in four years can’t be that special to his team. If Clowney bumped into Smith in the street, he would likely refer to Smith as “just a guy” too.
Sounds like a true case of “Hard Knocks” in my opinion.
