Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown exited Sunday’s game against the New York Giants in the first quarter with a right knee injury following his only reception in the game.

The Eagles later ruled Brown out for the rest of the night, and his departure was one of several injuries the team suffered during the regular-season finale.

Philadelphia trailed the Giants 3-0 with 3:37 on the clock when Brown caught a pass near the right hashmarks and was tackled by Giants linebacker Micah McFadden. Brown fumbled the ball and grabbed the back of his knee and calf before rolling to his back with both hands gripping his facemask.

Brown limped off the field to the sideline, briefly entered the blue medical tent behind the Eagles’ bench and then hobbled into the locker room.

It was the Eagles’ first of three first-half turnovers, and Philadelphia trailed the Giants 24-0 at halftime.

Brown came into the game seventh in the NFL with 105 receptions.

Quarterback Marcus Mariota and multiple backup offensive linemen started the second half for the Eagles with Jalen Hurts (finger) also apparently injured.

Hurts had a finger on his throwing hand taped and completed 7 of 16 passes for 55 yards.

The Eagles also ruled out safety Reed Blankenship (groin) and guard Cam Jurgens (eye).
