Draymond Green on Game 6: ‘I didn’t sleep’

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has to play well in Game 7 on Sunday night in order to have any sleep during the summer.

The All-Star wasn’t only frustrated about his “timidness” in Game 6, he’s still upset over costing his team a potential series-clinching Game 5 win by less-than-stellar actions in the previous game that forced the NBA to suspend him.

“I think, play more myself. I was too timid,” Green said about his Game 6 performance. “But can’t get it back, I got a game 7 … I didn’t sleep, it bothered me. I can’t spend my whole summer like that after what I did, so I got one shot.”

Golden State did lose the game Green missed by double digits, so it’s hard to imagine that he actually would have made that much of a difference.

Though, Green has been the team’s most valuable player this season. That might play a role come Sunday night in Oakland for the do-or-die Game 7 outing.

Green is averaging 13.4 points, 9.4 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 2.0 steals per game in the Finals. His importance come Sunday night cannot be overstated.
