Draymond Green fires back at Russell Westbrook for groin shot comment

The war of words is heating up just as much as the action is between Draymond Green, Russell Westbrook, the Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder.

Green, who is potentially facing a suspension for kicking Steven Adams in the family jewels, didn’t appreciate Westbrook saying he did the deed on purpose.

It’s understandable that Green is feeling extra salty right now. Not only are the Warriors down 2-1 against the Thunder in the Western Conference Finals, but he’s personally coming off one of the worst playoff games of the past couple of decades.

He scored six points, hauled in four rebounds and dished three assists while shooting 1-of-9 from the field and the Warriors were outscored by 43 points with him on the court.

Well, that’s what Adams said. It’s also what Green might be saying soon if he’s forced out of Game 4 with a one-game suspension.

For those uninitiated, here’s the play in question.

From this angle, it’s hard to say whether or not Green did intentionally karate kick Adams. That said, it is easy to understand why Westbrook would think he did.

This also happened to be the second game in a row in which Green had kicked Adams in that oh, so sensitive region.
