Doug McDermott Has Roughly 3,000 More Career Points Than You Do

By Derek White

It used to be that 1,000 points was a big deal. Then 2,000 points became a thing, but only seven had scored 3,000-plus points in a NCAA basketball career. Until tonight, when Creighton’s Doug McDermott became the eighth player to do it. Want to know how many points that is per game? (hint: it’s a lot)Mid size schools are starting to piece together some great programs and this year is proof of that. With more and more Doug McDermott types hitting the national scene, the NCAA Tournament is going to continue to be unpredictable. And that’s OH so tasty. Congrats Dougie Fresh…you earned it.
