Doug Baldwin Claims Jimmy Graham Will Make Marshawn Lynch More “Devastating”

The Seattle Seahawks gained a major asset over the free agency period when they traded for tight end Jimmy Graham. As a huge red-zone target for Russell Wilson, Graham will help Seattle improve a great deal in that area of the field.

Hardly able to contain his excitement, wide receiver Doug Baldwin seems to think Graham will work wonders this season (via ESPN 710).

“He can be an offense completely amongst himself. His ability to be a big target in the red zone, his athleticism is really strange for a guy his size. The way he moves it’s unbelievable. He’s gonna be able to do a lot of things for us offensively.”

Not only does Baldwin see benefits for himself with the addition of Graham, he believes running back Marshawn Lynch will go into “Beastmode” overdrive as well.

“Not only is he going to be able to open things up for myself but also for Marshawn as well, and opening more things up for Marshawn is going to be devastating to the defenses we face.”

Even without the threat of Graham, Lynch was still a handful for defenses last year. He put up 1,306 yards and 13 touchdowns. Now imagine what is in store with the 6-foot-7 Graham taking focus away from Lynch.
