All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey could make his season and Dolphins debut on Sunday against the New England Patriots after Miami activated him Saturday off injured reserve.

Ramsey, 29, underwent meniscus surgery on his left knee on July 28 and was not expected back until December. The non-contact injury occurred in training camp while he was covering wideout Tyreek Hill in an 11-on-11 drill.

In a corresponding move, Miami released cornerback Parry Nickerson.

Ramsey is listed as questionable after limited participation in practice this week. His 21-day activation window from injured reserve started Oct. 18.

The Dolphins obtained Ramsey from the Los Angeles Rams in March for tight end Hunter Long and a 2023 third-round draft pick (77th overall), which became linebacker Byron Young of Tennessee.

A six-time Pro Bowl selection and three-time first-team All-Pro, Ramsey has 19 interceptions in 108 career games (107 starts) with the Jacksonville Jaguars (2016-19) and Rams (2019-22). The Jaguars made the former Florida State standout the fifth pick of the 2016 NFL Draft.

Nickerson, 29, has appeared in five games this season, his first with Miami, and had five solo tackles.
