Still potentially in the running for recently released former Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Allen Hurns, the Dallas Cowboys have added more depth at that position.
Per his agent, free agent wide receiver Deonte Thompson has signed with the Cowboys.
According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, the deal is worth $2.5 million over one season.

Thompson, 29, put up the best performance of his career between the Chicago Bears and Buffalo Bills last season. He recorded a combined 38 receptions for 555 yards with two touchdowns.
Depending on how the remainder of the offseason plays out, it would not be a surprise if Thompson found himself as the Cowboys’ No. 3 receiver behind Dez Bryant and Cole Beasley.
