Cowboys: Ezekiel Elliott will miss ‘some time’ with hamstring injury

Ezekiel Elliott

With backup quarterback Kellen Moore lost for the season and multiple defenders suspended to start the year, the Dallas Cowboys can’t afford any more bad news.

Unfortunately, it looks like the team might have received some of this bad news on Wednesday.

We are not exactly sure what “some time” means and further news will surely follow. Any suggestions here would be nothing more than speculation. Though, we all know hamstring injuries can linger for a while.

It was just two years ago that New York Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr. missed the first four weeks of his rookie campaign with a hamstring injury.

Hopefully for the Cowboys, this will not be the case with Elliott. The team is relying on the former Ohio State running back to do big things as a rookie.

Should he be limited early in his career, that would not bode well for his ability to make an immediate impact.

We will follow up on Elliott’s situation as more information is obtained.
