Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield will be under center to start Sunday’s home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, coach Kevin Stefanski announced.

Mayfield participated in his third straight practice on Friday after his injured left (non-throwing) shoulder and torn labrum kept him out of the Browns’ 17-14 victory over the Denver Broncos on Oct. 21. Mayfield was listed as limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday.

Per Cleveland.com, Mayfield was cleared on Thursday night by both team doctors and doctors from which he sought a second opinion.

Mayfield was first hurt in Week 2, and he aggravated the injury in a loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Oct. 17.

Mayfield, 26, played all but four snaps in the 37-14 loss to the Cardinals. He completed 19 of 28 passes for 234 yards with two touchdowns and an interception.

On the season, he has completed 116 of 173 passes (67.1 percent) for 1,474 yards with six touchdowns and three interceptions.

Mayfield threw for three touchdowns in Cleveland‘s 48-37 wild-card victory over Pittsburgh on Jan. 10.
