The Los Angeles Dodgers continue to get good news on the Clayton Kershaw injury front, as the lefty pitched off the mound Thursday without any ill results.
Manager Dave Roberts told reporters that Kershaw threw about 12-15 pitches off the mound to a catcher, which wasn’t expected.

Alanna Rizzo of SportsNet Los Angeles added that Kershaw also threw to about 150 feet on Thursday.
Going back three weeks to when Kershaw initially came up with an injury to his throwing shoulder, things have gone fairly well. He attempted to come back too soon initially and went back on rest for almost a week, but this past Sunday he threw without any pain and is certainly progressing well now.
Still, despite the progress, Roberts said recently that there’s a chance Kershaw won’t be ready for Opening Day. And honestly, given his recent history of injuries to his throwing shoulder, taking a cautious approach is the smart thing to do.
