It seems that the drama earlier this week at a home owned by Cincinnati Bengals star Joe Mixon had nothing to do with him, however, a suspect in a reported shooting on the property is a relative.

On Monday, the Cincinnati Bengals running back found his name in headlines regarding a criminal incident at a home he was linked to in Coldstream, Ohio. At first, details of the event were scarce and it was unclear if Mixon was at the house he controls through a trust, or even involved with the incident.

However, on Thursday TMZ Sports obtained a police report and revealed some new details regarding the situation that local authorities responded to on Monday evening. According to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, several teenagers were playing a game of “dart wars” with Nerf guns near the house reportedly owned by Joe Mixon at around 8:25 PM.

Two of the teens involved in the game told police that a 16-year-old had run alongside the Cincinnati Bengals star’s home when he was allegedly fired at 11 times by an unknown perpetrator. “The teenager, according to the docs, was struck in the foot by a bullet as he attempted to run away.”

Soon after the shooting, the police documents claim a black Honda Accord was seen leaving the property. After the car was stopped by police, the inhabitants of the vehicle were revealed to be Mixon’s sister Shalonda and a man named Lamonte Brewer. Both have been identified as the primary suspects in the shooting.

It is unclear at this time which individual fired the 11 shots at the boy, or if both were involved in the shooting.
