Charles Haley congratulates Tom Brady, says he’s lonely as lone member of 5 Super Bowl Ring Club

Only one player in the history of the NFL since the Super Bowl era, Charles Haley, has won five championships. He won two Super Bowl rings with the San Francisco 49ers then won three more as a member of the Dallas Cowboys.

After Tom Brady and the New England Patriots beat the Pittsburgh Steelers to head to Super Bowl LI, Haley sent a congratulatory tweet with a little challenge to Brady, who still has less rings than him.

Brady is headed to his seventh Super Bowl. He has four rings currently, which is tied for the most in history for any starting quarterback. Joe Montana and Terry Bradshaw both won four rings, and now Brady has a chance to become the winningest starting quarterback in Super Bowl history.

He’ll have to remain as hot as he was Sunday against Pittsburgh to help the Patriots beat the soaring Atlanta Falcons, who averaged 40 points per game during their playoff run. It’s going to be a blast to see if Haley will finally have some company in the 5 Super Bowl Ring Club two weeks from now in Houston.
