Stockton Kings player Chance Comanche of the NBA G-League is facing an open murder charge stemming from the death of a 23-year-old woman who was found dead in the Las Vegas suburb of Henderson.

According to Las Vegas police, Comanche and his girlfriend allegedly kidnapped and killed a woman by the name of Marayna Rodgers.

“Rodgers, a medical assistant from Washington state, had been reported missing. Loved ones told 8 News Now Investigators that she was last seen on Dec. 6 during a visit to Las Vegas with friends. Police said she was reported missing on the afternoon of Dec. 7,” report on Chance Comanche murder charge.

Police learned that Rodgers was out with her friends on Dec. 5 and had a meeting with Comanche’s girlfriend, Sakari Harnden.

Comanche was taken into custody by the California FBI Criminal Apprehension Team in connection with Rodgers’ disappearance. He was taken to Sacramento County Jail after a warrant on first-degree kidnapping charges was issued in Southern Nevada. He is expected to be extradited to Nevada to face murder charges.

As for the Stockton Kings, they released the former Arizona Wildcats star on Friday after he was arrested in California.

Comanche, 27, played one game with the Portland Trail Blazers in the NBA last season, scoring seven points in a loss to the Golden State Warriors. He was in Henderson at the time of Rodgers going missing with the Kings taking on the G-League Ignite earlier in December.
