Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz has found a way to endear himself to his offensive line — by giving them shotguns for Christmas.

“The rookie quarterback endeared himself to the men up front by buying each of them a Beretta shotgun for Christmas. Each is personalized with the player’s number engraved on the butt of the gun,” Tim McManus of ESPN said. “Wentz hasn’t delivered the gifts quite yet, as the final touches are still being put on them. So he sent a text message to members of the offensive line with a picture of the custom guns attached.”

Christmas is definitely a good time of the year to be an offensive lineman.

Russell Wilson bought his linemen big screen TV’s, which can be seen here. Fellow while fellow rookie Ezekiel Elliott bought his big men ATV’s, which you can see here.

How does Wentz’s gift compare to those presents? That’s in the eye of the beholder. But the recipients seem to like the idea.

“I haven’t really held a gun or anything before,” Isaac Seumalo said, per McManus. “But I’m more than thankful for it. It looks sweet. Carson said he’d teach me how to use it and all that good stuff.”

It seems like Wentz has done a good job.
