Bucks barely extend title defense in NBA 2K League playoffs

Reigning NBA 2K League 5v5 champions Bucks Gaming rallied for a 2-1 win over T-Wolves Gaming on Thursday in Washington to advance to the Western Conference finals.

The Bucks’ opponent on Friday will be Warriors Gaming Squad, who swept Pistons GT 2-0.

In the Eastern Conference semifinals, Knicks Gaming came from behind to defeat 76ers Gaming 2-1, and expansion team NBL Oz Gaming topped Hornets Venom GT 2-0.

All playoff matches are best-of-three until the grand final on Saturday, which will be best-of-five. The championship team will receive half of the $1 million prize pool.

The T-Wolves opened with an 85-60 blowout, but the Bucks regrouped to claim the next two games 64-57 and 62-54.

Michael “Cooks” Campbell averaged 20.3 points and six assists per game for the Bucks, and teammate Mason “JohhnyRed” Bracken contributed 15.7 points and 3.3 assists per contest.

The Warriors whipped the Pistons 70-54 and 72-64.

Nidal “Mama Im Dat Man” Nasser was the man for the Warriors, logging 26 points and eight assists per game. The Warriors’ Charlie “CB13” Bostwick added 19.5 points and six assists per game.

The Knicks crushed the 76ers 69-49 before the 76ers bounced back for an 85-82 win. In the decisive third game, the Knicks prevailed 73-59.

Malik “OriginalMalik” Hobson (22.3 points, 7.3 assists per game) and Ethan “Radiant” White (17 points, 6.7 assists) were the stars for the Knicks.

NBL Oz Gaming got past the Hornets 76-73 and 54-43 thanks to Jyden “Jyden” McBath-Spencer (20 points, five assists per game) and Harry “HarryVZN” Spierings (16 points, six assists).
