Browns’ Odell Beckham Jr. takes subtle shot at Eli Manning

New Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was out there on the practice field this week catching passes from star quarterback Baker Mayfield.

By the looks of it, things were going pretty darn smoothly between the two.

Following practice on Wednesday, Beckham Jr. took time out of his day to talk up Mayfield while taking a shot at his former quarterback, Eli Manning of the New York Giants.

Saying that he needs to adjust to the speed of the ball after catching passes from Eli over the past several seasons is a pretty interesting pot shot.

Though, OBJ isn’t wrong. As Mayfield was tossing the ball all around the field this week, Manning was struggling with velocity in Jersey.

This is a 25-yard pass that seemingly had zero velocity on it.

For Beckham Jr., these offseason practices with Mayfield are going to loom large. It’s rather obvious that Cleveland’s second-year quarterback has a much bigger arm than his older counterpart further east.
