The Denver Broncos are playing out the string in what has been a lost season over the final two weeks.

They’ll do so without stating safety Kareem Jackson, who informed the team that he has been suspended for the remainder of the season.

Said suspension stems from Jackson being arrested on DUI charges back in September. He has decided to waive an appeal and will sit out.

“Kareem Jackson was arrested for driving under the influence on Thursday, Sept. 19,” the Broncos said in a statement. “He immediately informed our team of the incident, which we promptly reported to the NFL and thoroughly reviewed as an organization.”

A free-agent signing from the Houston Texans this past offseason, Jackson has done a tremendous job transitioning from cornerback to safety.

He finishes the campaign having recorded 71 tackles, 10 passes defended and two interceptions.
