Brandon Marshall has interesting story on relationship with Eli Manning

New York Giants wide receiver Brandon Marshall is doing everything he can to learn plays and study with quarterback Eli Manning. He recently shared this interesting story about his working relationship with Manning.

“Literally we just got out of the shower, we had towels on, and he was pretty much half-dressed, and he started giving me signals, Marshall said, per Tom Rock of Newsday.”

Okay. So, we had to have a little fun here. Realistically speaking, Marshall is describing what he calls “Eli Manning Time,” per the report. Manning’s technique is spontaneously catching Marshall off guard to review hand signals and plays.

Marshall says the two of them will be talking about what is for breakfast and Manning suddenly shifts gears to test him on football, according to Rock.

Joking aside, Marshall is diligently working to be his best and he offered nothing but the utmost respect for his quarterback.

“He’s probably the most detailed quarterback I’ve been around,” Marshall said of Manning. “He knows what he wants and how he wants it. It took me up until two weeks ago to get this one route down. He threw a ball into the ground and I was two steps off. Literally two steps off, and he pulled me to the side and just kept coaching me and walking me through it.”

Marshall signed on with the Giants to play with a winning team. He seems to have found his niche and appears to be thrilled to be done with a New York Jets team he claimed he wouldn’t have survived this year with.
