Chicago Blackhawks forward Taylor Hall will undergo surgery on his right knee and is expected to miss the remainder of the season, the team announced Thursday.

Hall has totaled four points (two goals, two assists) in 10 games this season. The 2017-18 Hart Trophy recipient was acquired along with fellow forward Nick Foligno from the Boston Bruins in June.

Hall, 32, has 697 points (266 goals, 431 assists) in 832 career games since being selected by the Edmonton Oilers with the No. 1 overall pick of the 2010 NHL Draft. He has played with the Oilers, New Jersey Devils, Arizona Coyotes, Buffalo Sabres, Bruins and Blackhawks.

Also on Thursday, the Blackhawks placed forward Andreas Athanasiou (groin) on injured reserve. The move is retroactive to Nov. 9 for the 29-year-old Athanasiou, who has four points — all assists — in 11 games this season.

Additionally, the Blackhawks recalled forwards Joey Anderson and Cole Guttman from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.

Anderson, 25, leads the IceHogs in goals (seven) and points (16) in 14 games this season.

Guttman, 24, has recorded one goal in three games with the Blackhawks this season.
