Bengals’ A.J. Green Ruled out for Playoff Game Against Indianapolis

The Cincinnati Bengals will be without their star wide receiver A.J. Green for Sunday’s playoff game in Indianapolis.

Green, who suffered a concussion last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers, has been ruled out since he didn’t pass a medical evaluation earlier on Saturday. The team will likely rely more heavily on their running back tandem of Jeremy Hill and Giovani Bernard with Green out of action.

Green’s updated status comes one day after he was listed as doubtful pending an evaluation visit to an independent neurologist. Green’s injury isn’t the only one the Bengals are faced with. Tight end Jermaine Gresham has been dealing with a back injury all week long and only practiced one day.

Without Green, the Bengals, who haven’t won a playoff game in nearly 24 years, will need to brace themselves for what will be a challenging meeting against Indianapolis.
