Ben Roethlisberger announced on his Twitter account Friday that he will return to the Pittsburgh Steelers next season.
Informed the team I am looking forward to my 14th season. Steeler Nation will get my absolute best! — Ben.

Roethlisberger had previously played with the idea of retiring, but few in and around the organization took him seriously. Turns out, they were right.
Few will be surprised by this announcement. But it has to come with a sigh of relief for Steelers fans. Roethlisberger may not be the best player on Pittsburgh’s offense, but he is the lynch-pin that holds running back Le’Veon Bell, wide receiver Antonio Brown and a killer offensive line together.
