Arizona Diamondbacks tickets for Game 3 of the NLCS are embarrassingly cheap

The surprising Arizona Diamondbacks find themselves in a 2-0 series hole against the Philadelphia Phillies heading into Game 3 of the NLCS Thursday afternoon in the desert.

This young baseball team captured the imagination of Diamondbacks fans by sweeping the Milwaukee Brewers and mighty Los Angeles Dodgers to make their way to the NLCS against the defending National League champs.

Unfortunately, consecutive losses in Philadelphia to open the series has created somewhat of a lack of interest as Arizona attempts to climb itself out of this major hole.

Hours before first pitch on Thursday, tickets for the game were being sold for as low as $15.00 on TickPick (h/t ESPN.com).

It’s somewhat embarrassing for get-in prices to be that low as the Diamondbacks vie for a surprise trip to the World Series.

Though, attendance was somewhat of an issue for the Arizona Diamondbacks during the regular season. They ranked 12th among the 15 National League teams by averaging roughly 24,000 fans per game. In fact, Arizona has not ranked better than 12th in attendance among its NL counterparts since back in 2018.

As for Thursday’s game against Philadelphia, Arizona will be calling on rookie Brandon Pfaadt to take to the bump against Phillies veteran Ranger Suarez.

Pfaadt pitched to a 5.72 ERA and 1.41 WHIP in 19 appearances (18 starts) during the regular season. He’s given up three runs in seven innings this postseason, meaning this will likely be a bullpen game for the Diamondbacks.
