LeBron James might have gotten himself a new teammate in that of Anthony Davis. But those two will see their relationship extend to the acting stage.

Shama Charania of The Athletic reported on Wednesday that Davis will join a ton of other superstars as co-stars with James on his upcoming “Space Jam” sequel. The list also includes Klay Thompson and Damian Lillard from the NBA as well as the WNBA’s Diana Taurasi and Nneka Ogwumike.

No word yet on whether King James’ Banana Boat crew will show up in cameo form. We’re also wondering whether Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant will make appearances in some fashion. Michael Jordan? Who knows.

“Space Jam 2” to is set to open on July 16, 2021. There’s still a lot of casting to be done here. But we’re definitely excited about the progress.
