During a night slalom run at the Madonna di Campiglio in Italy, alpine skier Marcel Hirscher was almost taken out by a falling drone that carried a camera.
Hirscher, the four-time World Cup overall champ, was unharmed in the close encounter with the drone, but it could have been a disastrous accident. See for yourself.
Hirscher went on to have a terrific run, finishing in second place behind Henrik Kristoffersen, who had the first run lead and won by 1.25 seconds — a big margin in this sport.
